The protection of your personal data is very important to us. We therefore process your personal data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions, in particular in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), the Austrian Data Protection Act in the valid version (“DPA”) and the Telecommunications Act (“TCA”). 

  1. Scope of application  

    With the following data protection declaration of St. Anna Kinderkrebsforschung GmbH (hereinafter referred to as “We” or “St. Anna Kinderkrebsforschung”), we would like to inform you about data processing in the context of your visit to our events.  Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

  1. Data processing by St. Anna Kinderkrebsforschung GmbH 

At our events, film and sound recordings as well as photos are made, with the later use of which you agree by attending the event. 
We have an (overriding) legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) in the processing and use of the image recordings in order to document the event organized by us pictorially and to report positively on it in professional circles and to a wider public. 

  1. Purpose of data processing 

The recordings may be published on the intranet, the online portal, the social media channels of St. Anna Kinderkrebsforschung GmbH or other relevant networks or research organizations as well as in print media (professional publications). Furthermore, the recordings will be transmitted to the participants of the event at their request exclusively for internal use. 

  1. Duration of storage  

The recordings will be stored approximately 1 year (until the next annual EuSARC meeting) and then deleted. 

  1. Your rights  

You have the following rights vis-à-vis St. Anna Kinderkresbforschung GmbH as the data controller under the GDPR: 
With regard to your data processed by us, you have the right to information according to Art. 15 GDPR, correction according to Art. 16 GDPR, deletion according to Art. 17 GDPR, restriction of processing according to Art. 18 GDPR, data portability according to Art. 20 GDPR, revocation and objection according to Art. 21 GDPR.  
If you wish to exercise any of the aforementioned rights, or if you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you are welcome to contact us at datenschutz@ccri.at. 
In addition, you are entitled to contact the Austrian data protection authority dsb.gv.at in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR in the event of complaints about data protection violations.

The revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the data processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation.
