EuSARC 2023 in Vienna: Bringing together sarcoma researchers from across the world

(Vienna, 25.5.2023) St. Anna Children’s Cancer Research Institute is happy to have hosted this year’s EuSARC conference in Vienna covering multi-disciplinary topics from molecular mechanisms to novel therapies in sarcomas! Thanks to all the great speakers and attendees!

“We are very excited to see sarcoma researchers and clinicians from Europe, the USA, and beyond, and to discuss difficulties but also new developments and findings in molecular biology research”, says Eleni Tomazou, PhD, Principal Investigator at St. Anna CCRI and part of the EuSARC scientific committee.

📌 “Sarcomas are rare and this is a unique opportunity to bring together sarcoma researchers from across the world!” says the invited speaker Prof. Kimberly Stegmaier, MD, a leading expert in childhood cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA.

“I actually first came to a meeting at CCRI in 2008. It’s just been wonderful to be back here, to see how the program is thriving. I have developed collaborations and friendships with investigators at CCRI over the years and this has been a wonderful reunion time. I look forward to meeting some of the newer investigators and to establishing new collaborations going forward”, adds Prof. Stegmaier.
